What's this job all about?

As Vendor Relationship Manager at Jumia, you will be at the center of our commercial strategy. Your main challenge will be to build the most relevant marketplace in Kenya, powered by the largest number of engaged sellers, the widest choice of products and the best prices. You will shape the way we manage and animate thousands of sellers; using all levers to grow their business while improving their operational excellence and protecting the CXP

The main challenges are described as below:

Main Responsibilities

  • Reach your targets for the Jumia Kenya Marketplace:  Net Merchandize Value of the tail of seller  #Engaged vendors on our platform (more than 10 items sold per month)  Number of products live  Average Seller Score  % of Products with at least 3 sellers  % of products cheaper than competition  Vendor Net promoter Score
  • Structure performance, pricing, operational management in an automated way  Which observation triggers which action for which seller at which moment through which channel
  • Empower Jumia Advantage Program
  • Lead the vendor animation routine  Communication plan(all channels)  Organization of offline events  Vendor Challenges
  • Drive the “Sell on Jumia” branding and marketing strategy
  • Lead the improvement of vendor experience
  • Actively participate to tech developments
  • Gather and share cross country best practices

Required Skills

  • Top Engineering or Business Schools and Universities
  • Previous experience of at least 4 years in management consulting, e-commerce, venture capital, company creation or category management (retail) would be appreciated
  • Proficiency in MS Office and Excel
  • Ability to analyze large data sets to make strategic decisions
  • Performance oriented and action oriented
  • Strong entrepreneurial skills, leadership and drive
