Introduction To quality control all written official documents from AIID before they are published through various communications platforms. Develop & maintain the AIID webpage and assist with all responses or communications to all AIID clients. Specification Implementation of editing Procedures and Polices: Develop, update and implement the guidance/procedure for editing of documentation. Communicate, inform and educate all AIID employees about the guidance/procedure document. Advocate the critical business importance of using the guidance/procedure and provide support to AIID employees in this regard. Ensure that all written material featured in the various communications platforms above adhere to the guidance/procedure. Writing and Content Development: Research, develop, write and edit content for various communications platforms namely; - Website - Intranet - Presentations - Public addresses - Publications, Booklets, brochures and leaflets - Editorials - Advertorials - Executive: AIID communiqués - Any other promotional material and AIID official documentation Maintain the AIID webpage and ensure all content is consistent and accurate. Work with Internal and External stakeholders to create & upload any Accident & Incident Investigation related publications. Editing & Translation: Review all Accidents/Incident Reports and edit them based on the style, layout, grammar and formatting. Edit all written material and any other official documentation as and when required by AIID employees, the SM and Executive. Support the Executive with editing and proofreading of submission documents to the Department of Transport, Safety Committee etc. Ensure that all AIID written communication is clear, concise and correctly expressed for publishing and presenting. Provide proof reading services to all AIID personnel as and when required. Consults with SME's to translate documents from different Languages to English or other languages and vice versa. Receive Accidents/Incident Reports commentary from external stakeholders and collaborate with investigating officer for input and updates. Communication: Communicate Accidents/Incident related reports for commentary to various clients namely; - the Director of Civil Aviation - the State which instituted the investigation - the State of Registry - the State of the Operator - the State of Design - the State of Manufacture - any State having suffered fatalities or serious injuries to its citizens - any State which provided relevant information, significant facilities or experts the Operator and - the Crew or Pilots Next of Kin Publish the Accidents/Incident report to the various clients and upload into the AIID webpage. Employment Equity (EE) Plan: First preference will be given to employment equity candidates in line with the SACAA EE Plan. Requirements Minimum: Education (Formal Qualification required): National Diploma / National Higher Diploma or relevant formal qualification in Communications or Public Relations or Journalism. Ideal: Education (Formal Qualification required): Degree in Communications or Public Relations or Journalism Expert knowledge of the English language, including grammar and usage Technical writing and proofreading Minimum: Experience (Minimum Experience required - type and number of years): 5 -10 Year(s) - Report writing and editing of technical reports.
